Bill may help Oklahoma auto accident victims

May 26, 2011

Nothing is more frustrating than having a claim rejected from an insurance company after an Oklahoma City auto accident where you weren’t at fault.

But a new bill could help Oklahoma City auto accident victims recover damages if they weren’t at fault in the accident.

According to The Tulsa World, the bill prohibits people in vehicles not covered by liability insurance from obtaining noneconomic damages if they are injured in an Oklahoma City auto accident in which an insured party is at fault.

However, those who oppose the bill say it would protect parties who are at fault in Oklahoma City auto accidents and wouldn’t be fair.
