Tulsa wrongful death suit ongoing against Cintas for death of employee one year ago

by jcl

The widow of a Cintas employee is still involved in a Tulsa wrongful death suit against the laundry company for failing to uphold safety regulations.

An employee was killed March 6, 2007 in the Tulsa accident while operating an industrial dryer.

The man climbed on top of an elevated conveyor belt to fix a jam in the machine when a robotic arm forced him into the dryer.

Another employee called maintenance to investigate the machine and the maintenance personnel found the Tulsa wrongful death victim’s body.

An OSHA investigation of the Tulsa facility found numerous safety violations. On the anniversary of the fatal accident that sparked the Tulsa wrongful death suit, the director for safety and health of UNITE HERE says little has changed at the site of the Tulsa accident.
