According to The Oklahoman, a tractor trailer that was involved in an Oklahoma City truck accident caused I-35 to close for nearly nine hours. It was after noon when the road could be reopened.

2 fatalities in McAlester auto accidents over holiday

Warnings are sufficient for some; however, for others a warning has little effect.  Unfortunately, two drivers were killed despite police efforts to cut down on the fatalities over the holiday weekend, according to the McAlester News-Capital.

The two fatal McAlster auto accidents occurred when two boats collided and caused the first crash. The second McAlester auto accident occurred on U.S. Highway 69. A driver of one of the vehicles was stuck in the wreckage and had to be freed. However, that driver died as a result of the McAlester auto accident.

Woman dies in Oklahoma City auto accident

Two die in Tulsa auto accident
