Disabled American Veterans Need Oklahoma Volunteers To Give Rides

by Colbert Cooper Hill Attorneys

The Oklahoma Veterans Disability Lawyers with J. Colbert Injury Lawyers explain hundreds of thousands of former service members who are unable to work due to mental or physical conditions caused by their time in the military live in Oklahoma. One of the greatest obstacles many of these individuals face in getting the care they need is transportation. A majority of these individuals simply cannot afford the costs associated with getting from the place of residence to the facility where they can be examined by a doctor.

In an effort to address this problem, Disabled American Veterans pairs disabled veterans with volunteers who can help transport these individuals to the places they need to go; however, the group is down to its last volunteer and is calling for others to help.

According to an article from the Muskogee Phoenix, an individual only needs to provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance, as well as pass a physical test. Individuals who meet the requirements can then choose the days and times they wish to volunteer either local rides or transportation to facilities in Oklahoma City from Muskogee.

John Colbert and his team of Oklahoma Personal Injury Lawyers recognize the need the organization has for assistance and encourage anyone with free time to help out by giving a veteran a ride!
