11 people were injured in a Tulsa car accident involving two vehicles during a police chase, reported the Tulsa World. Police said the driver of a stolen SUV was fleeing from the police when he collided with another car.
The OnStar system in the SUV that was stolen alerted police at 3 p.m. of the theft, and police pulled the driver over on South U.S. 169. While the officer waited on backup officers, the driver sped off. The driver caused the Oklahoma car accident when he ran a red light and smashed into a car in the intersection.
A crosswalk sign was knocked down and the SUV came to rest in a ditch after rolling three times. All 11 Tulsa auto accident victims were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
